Okay, so today I wanted to try something a little different, and I thought, “Why not try drawing a football game?” It sounds fun, right? I grabbed my sketchbook and pencils and got started. I’m no artist, mind you, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I mean, how hard could it be to draw a simple football game?

First, I drew a big rectangle for the field. Then I added some lines for the yard markers. It started to look like a football field, which was encouraging! I even drew some goalposts at each end. I’m feeling pretty good about this so far.
Stick Figures in Action
Next, I needed players. I decided to go with simple stick figures. Easier that way, you know? I drew a few on each side, some in different poses. One stick figure was running, another was throwing a ball, and a couple were just standing there. I gave each team different colored jerseys, just little circles on their chests, to tell them apart.
- Drew the field – a big rectangle.
- Added yard lines and goalposts.
- Sketched stick figure players.
- Colored their jerseys for team distinction.
I even tried to draw a football. It ended up looking more like a lumpy potato, but hey, I’m no pro. I added a few more details, like a scoreboard in the corner – just a simple rectangle with some numbers scribbled in. I also drew some lines to show the ball’s movement, like it was being thrown or kicked.
The Final Touch
Finally, I added some fans in the background, just some random squiggly lines to represent a crowd. It was starting to look like a real, albeit very basic, football game! I stepped back to admire my work. It wasn’t perfect, not even close, but it was definitely a football game, drawn by me. I felt a little proud of myself, to be honest.
So, that’s my little art adventure for the day. It was fun, and I might even try it again sometime. Maybe next time, I’ll try drawing a more detailed picture, or maybe I’ll just stick to my lumpy potato footballs. Who knows? The point is, I tried something new, and that’s what counts, right?
