Alright, let’s talk about them entertainment quotes. You know, them sayings from the movies and the TV shows, the things folks say that stick with ya. I hear them young’uns talkin’ ’bout ’em all the time, repeat’ them like they some kinda gospel.

Now, I ain’t one for them fancy words and all, but I reckon some of them quotes are alright. They kinda like them old wives’ tales, got a little bit of truth in ’em, wrapped up in a story.
Like that one, “The show must go on.” That’s a good one. ‘Cause it’s true, ain’t it? Life goes on, no matter what. You gotta keep on truckin’, even when things get tough. Just like when my old man’s tractor broke down mid-harvest. We had to get that corn in, show or no show, rain or shine. The show, or the harvest, must go on!
And then there’s them pop culture quotes. Lord knows what that even means. Sounds like somethin’ them city folk made up. But I guess it’s just them quotes everybody knows, like them jingles from the commercials. Everybody knows ’em, even if they don’t know where they heard ’em. Like when you hear that ice cream song as a kid and you just know, you want ice cream now!
- “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”
I heard that one before. Heard it in one of them old movies. That’s a good one for when you’re just fed up with someone, ain’t it? Just throw your hands up and say, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn!” That Rhett fella, he sure knew how to put a woman in her place. He was a strong man, that one. Just like my husband.
Them quotes, they just kinda reflect what’s goin’ on in the world, I reckon. They like a mirror, showin’ you what folks are thinkin’ and feelin’. And sometimes, they even funny. Make you chuckle a little. I saw this one show, about some office folks, and this guy, he was always sayin’ somethin’ funny. Makes you think life ain’t so bad, even when you stuck in some office all day.

Sometimes these quotes, they can make you think, too. Not just laugh, but really think about things. Like, I saw this one movie once, ’bout a fella who was real sad, and he said somethin’ about life bein’ like a box of chocolates. You never know what you gonna get. Ain’t that the truth? It really got me pondering, as they say.
These entertainment quotes, they kinda like the gossip at the general store. Everybody’s talkin’ about ’em, spreadin’ ’em around. And some of ’em are just silly, but some of ’em, they got a little somethin’ to ’em. They like them little seeds of wisdom, planted in your head.
They say that this pop culture stuff, it ain’t the cause of the change. It shows the change. Like, how folks are dressin’ different now than they used to. It ain’t the clothes that are makin’ folks different, it’s folks being different that’s makin’ the clothes different. You see? Same with them quotes. They just showin’ you what’s already there.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this kinda thing. I’m just sayin’ what I see. But I reckon these entertainment quotes, they ain’t goin’ anywhere. Folks will keep on sayin’ ’em, keep on repeatin’ ’em, long as there’s movies and TV shows and whatnot.
I remember one time, my grandson, he kept sayin’ this thing from some cartoon he watched. Drove me near crazy, he said it so much. But you know what? Now, whenever I hear it, it makes me think of him. So I guess them quotes, they can be kinda like memories, too. They stay with you, like an old song you can’t get out of your head, or the smell of your mama’s cookin’.

So, there you have it. Just my two cents on them entertainment quotes. They ain’t much, but they somethin’. And sometimes, that’s all you need. A little somethin’ to make you laugh, or make you think, or just make you remember. That is all I have to say about that, just my simple thoughts. Hope you all enjoyed this little yarn.
