But these young folks today, they sure do love their football, especially that Flamengo team. My grandson, bless his heart, he’s crazy about it! He talks non-stop about Flamengo. I don’t get all the fuss, but it sure makes him happy.

I seen ’em online, all these fancy websites selling them Flamengo football jerseys. Big pictures, fancy words, sayin’ they the best. But you know what they say, don’t believe everything you see on that internet! They got shirts, and shorts and even socks. People even wear scarves and hats. They want everything with Flamengo on it!
I guess if you love football, you gotta have the jersey, right? Like wearin’ your team’s colors. Shows you a real fan. But land’s sake, the prices! Some of them cost more than a week’s worth of groceries! Back in my day, we’d never spend that much on a shirt. We didn’t have money like that. Nowadays it is different, I guess.
These young folks, they save up their pennies, I suppose. Or maybe their mamas and papas buy ’em for ’em. Birthdays, Christmas, you name it. A Flamengo football jersey is what they all want. I saw a lot of likes and comments, many people like these jerseys.
I remember when my boy was little, he wanted a football jersey too. Not Flamengo, though. We didn’t have that team around here back then. But he got a jersey, and he wore it till it was practically falling apart. Slept in it, even! That’s how much he loved it.
Now, my grandson, he’s the same way with his Flamengo football jersey. Wears it all the time. To school, to the store, even to bed sometimes! I tell him, “Boy, you gonna wear that thing out!” But he don’t listen. He just loves that jersey.
