Man, I’ve always been a huge fan of those old-school PlayStation 2 games. So the other day, I decided to dive back into some classic football titles. I started digging around for my old PS2 console. I found it in the back of my closet, all dusty and forgotten. Plugged it in, and surprisingly, it still worked like a charm!

First game I popped in was NFL GameDay 2001. I remembered it was the first one to be released on the PS2, or something like that. The graphics were way better than the old PlayStation, that’s for sure. I spent a good few hours messing around with that one, trying out different teams and plays. It was a real blast from the past. That game came out around the end of 2000, which is pretty wild to think about now.
- Tried a few other games, but they weren’t as fun.
- Spent most of my time playing NFL GameDay 2001.
- Realized how much I missed these old games.
After that, I also checked out Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. This one wasn’t a football game, of course, but it was another classic from back then. Different developers, I think. Activision and some other company? Anyway, I spent some time with that one too, doing tricks and stuff. It brought back a lot of memories.
Final Thoughts
Overall, it was a pretty fun weekend. I rediscovered some of my favorite games and relived some good times. If you’ve got an old PS2 lying around, I definitely recommend giving these games a try. They’re a little rough around the edges compared to today’s games, but they’ve still got that old-school charm.
