Okay, so, I wanted to draw a football game, and let me tell you, it was quite the journey! I started out feeling a bit lost, not knowing where to begin. But you know what? I just dove in. I grabbed my sketchbook and pencil, and the first thing I did was sketch a basic oval shape for the football. It looked wonky at first, but hey, it was a start!

Then, I drew a line down the middle, extending it a bit on both ends. I added another smaller oval inside, keeping the same length. It was starting to resemble a football, which was pretty cool. Next, I focused on those iconic laces. I sketched two curved lines facing each other and then connected them with little lines to form the laces. I have to admit, this part was a bit tricky, but I took my time, and it turned out alright!
- Drew a basic oval shape for the football.
- Added a center line and a smaller oval inside.
- Sketched the laces, which was the most challenging part.
Now, for the players, I decided to keep it simple. After all, the title says easy drawing right? I drew the first circle to draw the ankle, then draw the heel below the first circle. After that, I added the wedge-shaped section for the foot part. I started with stick figures – just simple lines to represent the body, arms, and legs. It looked a bit silly, but I knew I could build on that. I positioned them on the field, some running, some about to kick the ball. It was like creating my own little game!
Gradually, I added more details to the players. I gave them some shape, making their limbs a bit thicker, adding heads, and even some basic facial features. I even drew little details like their jerseys and shorts. It was so much fun seeing them come to life on the page.
Bringing It All Together
The final step was adding the background. I drew a simple field with lines to mark the different zones. To make it more interesting, I added a crowd in the background, just a bunch of simple shapes to represent people cheering. And you know what? It actually looked like a football game! I was so proud of myself for sticking with it and creating something from scratch.
It wasn’t perfect, of course, but it was mine. And the best part is, I learned so much along the way. From basic shapes to adding details, each step was a new adventure. I even surprised myself with how much I could do with just a pencil and paper. So, if you’re thinking about drawing a football game, just go for it! It’s a fun and rewarding experience, and you might just discover your inner artist along the way. Trust me, if I can do it, you can too!
