Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with some fun football games, you know, just to chill out and have a good time. I’ve always loved football, but sometimes I just want to do something more relaxed than a full-on match.

First, I tried this thing called “Simon Says.” It’s super simple. Basically, one person is “Simon,” and they give instructions like, “Simon says dribble the ball” or “Simon says touch your head.” You only follow the instructions if they start with “Simon says.” Sounds easy, right? Well, it’s actually a pretty good way to practice ball control while having a laugh. I played it with my little cousin, and he loved it. We were running around the backyard, laughing our heads off. It’s a great game for kids or anyone who wants to improve their dribbling without it feeling like a chore.
Footgolf
Then I remembered something I saw online called “Footgolf.” It’s like a mix of football and golf. So, I set up a makeshift course in my backyard. I used some old boxes and buckets as “holes,” and some trees and bushes as obstacles. The goal is to kick the football into the “holes” in as few kicks as possible. I have to say, it’s way harder than it looks! I spent a good hour kicking the ball around, trying to get it in the “holes.” It was a great workout, and it was actually really fun. A bit frustrating at times, but fun! You have to get the power and direction of your kicks just right, just like putting in golf. Even put some “bunkers” there, pretty fun.

All in all, I had a blast trying out these fun football games. It was a nice change of pace from the usual serious training. I’d definitely recommend giving these games a try if you’re looking for something different to do with a football. They’re great for kids, adults, anyone really. Plus, it’s just a good way to enjoy the sport in a more relaxed way. I’m going to try and find new games to keep practicing it. Maybe next time I’ll try some of those mini-games, it will be good for improving teamwork!
