This here synthetic basketball court, it ain’t like the old dirt courts we used to have. Them days, we just played on hard ground, rain or shine. But this new stuff, it’s somethin’ else. Makes for a good game, I reckon. This here thing, it’s called a synthetic basketball court. Fancy name for a place to bounce a ball, if you ask me.

And some metal bars, they say it makes it strong. Good for the bounce, that’s what they say. Makes the ball go up real good. This synthetic court, it’s real hard, though. You fall on this, you gonna feel it. It ain’t like fallin’ on grass, that’s for sure.
Now, keepin’ it clean, that’s a whole other thing. You gotta sweep it, keep the dirt and leaves off. Else it gets all messy. And this here synthetic basketball court, you gotta use the right stuff to clean it. Not just any old soap. They got special stuff for it. Costs a pretty penny, I bet. Keeps it lookin’ new, I suppose.
They say you gotta put some shiny stuff on it too, every now and then. Makes it last longer, they say. Like waxin’ a floor, but for a basketball court. This synthetic basketball court, it’s a lot of work, keepin’ it nice. They say every couple years for that shiny stuff. But who has that kinda money?

So, that’s what I know about this here synthetic basketball court. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it, I reckon. Just gotta keep it clean and put that shiny stuff on it every now and then. Then it’ll last a long time. Longer than me, probably!
